Obituary of Howard D. Dobson

Howard D. Dobson (Snuffy), 74, of Ashville, NY, passed away Sunday March 27, 2016 in WCA Hospital. He was born April 20, 1941 in Punxsutawney, PA the son of the late Clair and Minnie Kraft Dobson. Prior to retirement, he worked at RHI Monofrax, Carborundum Co. Howard was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved picking on his family and friends. Surviving are his companion, Ella Gibbs; two grandchildren, Josh and Shannon Dobson; three sisters, Hazel (Chuck) Frye of Mayville; Mary (Merle) Frye and Dortha Troup (Jim Hall) both of Panama; a brother, Lewis Dobson of Emporium, PA; and Ella's children, Roger Gibbs, Rodney Gibbs, Cynthia Yoder, Sandra Moller, and Brian Gibbs. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Rosalind Fisher Dobson; a son, James Dobson; a granddaughter, Tea Dobson; a brother, Daniel Dobson; two sisters, Marie Babyak; Evalo Burkett; and Ella's son, Phillip Gibbs. At Howard's request, there will be no funeral service or visitation observed. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Lind Funeral Home to help defray funeral expenses.
