Obituary of Marilyn Ann Sweeney

Marilyn Ann Christian Sweeney, 76, of 84 Durant Avenue, died Thursday April 7, 2016, in WCA Hospital. A native of Jamestown, she was born March 30, 1940, a daughter of the late Conrad and Florence Johnson Christian. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She will be dearly missed. Surviving are four children Debbie (Mark) Carlson of Ontario, NY, Diane (Bill) Steubing of Falconer, Darcy (David) Rhinehart of Frewsburg and Darrick Sweeney of Ashville; eleven grandchildren Andrew (Celena) Carlson, Jennifer Carlson, Amelia (Dan) Ferguson, Emily Carlson, Joshua Sweeney, John Sweeney, Allison Rhinehart, Matthew Rhinehart, Ryann Sweeney, Darrick C. Sweeney and Annika Johnson six great grandchildren Tyler and Lucas Allman, Mason Ferguson, Sheamus and Maverick Carlson and Sawyer Haskell; a brother Robert (Barbara) Christian of Florida; a sister-in-law Florence Christian of Jamestown and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters Doris Lopus and Marion Lundren and their husbands Willard Lopus and Ragner Lundgren and her brother Richard Christian. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday in the Lind Funeral Home. Inurnment will be at Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received from 1-3 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
