So sorry for your loss, Debbie. I never knew that Pete was your father. I knew him and Bev from our involvement at Lake Chautauqua Lutheran Camp and other church activities.

We are so sorry for your loss. We live across the street from Pete and he was a such a good neighbor. Pete walking Chardonnay was a staple in the neighborhood and he was always ready with a wave and and some conversation, especially about politics though I often chewed his ear off about gardening. If we were working outside he'd come by to say hello or offer to share a tool to make the job easier. He even planted flowers under the mailboxes and did most of the work rebuilding the mailbox stand when it started falling apart. We also admired his work ethic and commitment to staying fit. In good weather he was always outside working on a project, walking Chardonnay or just taking a walk by himself.
Pete was a friend too. If he didn't see us out for a few days he'd stop by to make sure everything was OK. He was a fine person and we will really miss him.
