Obituary of Donna L. Town

Donna L. Town, 76, of the Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center passed away at 7:10 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at her residence. A lifelong area resident, she was born May 10, 1939 in Jamestown, NY a daughter of the late Carl and Neva Zeigler Frankson. She will be remembered as a loving and caring mother and grandmother who loved to brag about her grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening, sewing, playing the organ and camping, and loved animals, especially cats. In previous years she belonged to a bowling league where she once bowled a 300 game. Surviving are two daughters, Brenda L. (Paul) Meyerhoff of Jamestown, Laurie A. (David) Raecher of DuBois, PA, three sons, Todd A. (Sandy) Town, Timothy A. (Lori) Town both of Jamestown, Kevin E. Town of Ashville, nine grandchildren, Jennifer Rigard, Shannon Meyerhoff, Shelley Meyerhoff, Adam Town, Aaron Town, Abigail Town, Ashley McChesney, Joseph Town, Nicole Mazgaj, six great grandchildren, a sister, Kathleen Westerburg of Frost Free, FL and a brohter Winston Frankson of Jamestown. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas C. Town whom she married February 17, 1962 and who died January 19, 2001, a daughter, Michelle Marie Town who died November 2, 1965 and a brother Wallace Frankson. The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Melvin McGinnis, pastor of the Kiantone Congregational Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Kiantone. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service on Saturday in the funeral home.
