Obituary of Grace R. D'Angelo

Grace R. D'Angelo, 96, of 250 Camp St. passed away at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2016, in her home. A resident of Cape Coral, FL and Jamestown, NY she was born August 16, 1919 in Fredonia, NY a daughter of the late Fred and Lucy Palese Rizzo. Grace was a 1937 graduate of Fredonia High School and attended several business colleges. Before her retirement in 1986, she was an executive secretary for the Marlin Rockwell Corporation for many years. She was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church. Surviving are her husband of 73 years, Angelo V. D'Angelo whom he married September 20, 1942 in St. Anthony's of Padua Catholic Church, Fredonia, a sister, Anna Mae Rizzo of Dunkirk, NY as well as several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Theresa Hester and five brothers, Angelo, Samuel, Girardo, Joseph, and Thomas Rizzo. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday in St. James Catholic Church. The Rev. Joseph Carlo will be celebrant. Burial will be in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Friends will be received from 5-7 p.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home where a Christian Wake Service will be led at 6:45 p.m. Friday. Memorials may be made to the St. James Catholic Church, 27 Allen St. Jamestown, NY 14701. The family would like to thank the staff of Angel in Homecare of Western New York for their loving and compassionate care for Grace the past four years.
