Obituary of Irene O. Pedine

Irene O. Pedine, 85, formerly of Custer City, Pa., passed away Friday, May 13, 2016 at Heritage Village Rehab & Skilled Nursing. A Jamestown area resident since 1987, she was born September 24, 1930 in Bradford, Pa., the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Kutchmire Onuffer. Irene was formerly employed by Corning Glass in Bradford. She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing cards with friends. Surviving are two daughters: Janice (Patrick) Johnson of Lakewood and Beth Hostetler of Jamestown; and grandchildren, Boyd (Nicole) Johnson and their daughter, Olive, of South Carolina, Robert Johnson and his daughters, Elise and Anna, of Buffalo, and Emma Piazza of Lakewood. Irene was preceded in death by her husband, John Pedine, who died in June of 1991; and a son, Jon Pedine. A private family graveside service will be held in St. Bernards Cemetery in Bradford. Visitation will not be observed. The family suggests memorials may be made to your local Humane Society.
