Obituary of Sally R. Thompson

Sally R. Thompson, 87, formerly of 16 Southland Ave., Lakewood, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Heritage Green Rehab & Skilled Nursing. She was born July 4, 1928 in Silver Creek, NY, the daughter of the late Philip S. and Iola Dickinson Rowe, and was a graduate of Keuka College. Sally was an active member of the Jamestown Chapter of the D.A.R., as well as Creche and the Mozart Club. She was known far and wide for her collection of Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls. Surviving are three children: Amanda Tillotson of Carlisle, PA, James R. (Sue) Tillotson of Lakewood, NY and Wallace L. (Lisa) Thompson of Russell, PA; four grandchildren: Amanita Brasil, Lee (Maura) Tillotson-Becker, Matthew Tillotson and Benjamin Tillotson; two great-granddaughters; and a brother, Philip D. Rowe, Jr. of Reading, PA. Following Sally's instruction, no funeral service or visitation will be observed. Memorials may be made to the Jamestown Chapter D.A.R., 70 Prospect St., Jamestown, NY 14701.
