Doris Hilda Lucille Landquist Johnson Larson, age 92, passed away on May 24, 2016, at her home in New Port Richey, Florida. A tall dark-haired beauty, she was raised in Jamestown, NY, and was the youngest of the late Edith and Oscar Landquist's eight children. Having been pre-deceased by her first spouse, Kermit Johnson, she is survived by and will be greatly missed by Ray Larson, her loving husband of 18 years. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Edie Landquist, but was preceded in death by her siblings, William, Edgar, Arthur and Donald Landquist, Astrid Christofferson, Ethel Olson Venman and Dolores Roos, as well as nephews John Roos and Ronald Olson, and nieces Donna Erickson, Dody Girts and Jeannine Landquist. Left to cherish the memory of her sweet disposition and generous spirit are her surviving nieces, Joan Swanson, Diane Bailey, Sharon Gunnell and Judy Gregory; nephews, Don Landquist, Terry Landquist and Roger Christofferson; surrogate granddaughter Kristin Seekings and several generations of great-nephews and nieces. Doris worked for many years in the accounting department of Marlin Rockwell Corporation in Jamestown, NY. She enjoyed birds and big bands and was a longtime golfing member of Florida's Seven Springs Country Club and Lakewood, New York's Maplehurst Country Club, having maintained homes in those states and fostered lifelong acquaintances in both places. Before being crippled by a stroke in 2008, she was a member of the Seven Springs Women's Golf Association and in 2007 she proudly added a First Place Seven Springs Couples' Tournament win to her trophy list. Despite her long illness she never lost her love of life or her great sense of humor. She will be missed by all her knew and loved her. The family would like to express its gratitude to her loyal caregivers, Barbara Lopez and Marcie Dautovic. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 11:30 AM Friday June 17th, 2016, followed by interment at Sunset Hill Cemetery. You may leave words of condolence at www.lindfuneralhome.com.
