Madam McKee, you were and always will be an inspiration to me, as a teacher, a role model, and friend. You brought out the best in your students with your caring and knowledgeable approach to teaching. I think of you often, and will remember the saying you had posted on your office door:
“If a man is called to be a street sweeper, he should sweep streets even as a Michaelangelo painted, or Beethoven composed music or Shakespeare wrote poetry. He should sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will pause to say, 'Here lived a great street sweeper who did his job well.”

When I think back on my college years, she comes to the forefront. As a professor of French, a professor of education, a college adviser, a student-teacher supervisor, and finally a masters project leader ; these are the many roles she played for me ! I will never forget as she hugged me on graduation day, and almost knocked my mortar board off my head ! My condolences to her family and friends.

Dr. McKee had such an impact on me as a student and an educator. She was truly the epitome of professionalism and taught me to be the same as an educator. She believed in me when at times I didn't believe in myself. Twenty years after graduating, I still speak of how much she inspired me. My deepest condolences to the family in the loss of such a special woman.

Madame McKee was a great inspiration to my life and my love of languages. We worked together on the creation of my thesis about foreign language learning. She was such a wonderful role model and taught me to never give up! Her passion and love of languages inspired me to create my own elementary foreign language program. I will never forget her kindness and faith in me. She helped shape me into the foreign language teacher I am today. A true legend is lost, but because she influenced so many she will always live on. RIP Dr. McKee! I will always love you.<3

Eliane was one of the most inspirational teachers of my lifetime. She encouraged me to go back to school at age 40, insisting that my knowledge of language "would come right back to me" as I resumed studies. I adored the twinkle in her eye and knew that she always had her students' best interests at heart. My deepest condolences to Eliane's dear family. Though the world has lost a treasure, what she has passed on to so many will live on.
