Obituary of Calvin E. James

Calvin E. James, 90, formerly of Wellman Road, Ashville, died Wednesday June 15, 2016, in Heritage Park Rehab and Skilled Nursing. He was born April 30, 1926, in Bigler Township, PA, a son of the late John and Clara Barrelle James. He was a WWII veteran of the US Army. Prior to his retirement he was employed by Sears as a mechanic. He earlier had worked for MRC-TRW as a maintenance mechanic. Surviving are two sons, Gary (Jenise) James of MacClenny, FL and Randy (Gayle) James of Lugoff, SC; four grandchildren Amber and Alicia James, Rodney Johnson and Melissa (Michael) Windrel; five great grandchildren Noah and Hudson Windrel and Micha, Madison and Macey McFarland and a brother-in-law Augustain (Beverly) Lefebvre. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Betty Lefebvre in 2007; two sisters and three brothers. The funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. Pastor Bill McCoy will officiate. Burial will be in Wellman Road Cemetery. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service on Saturday in the funeral home.
