Obituary of Randall L. Swanson

Randall L. Swanson, 68, of 3638 Ellington Street, Kennedy, died Monday June 20, 2016, in WCA Hospital. An area resident all of his life, he was born May 14, 1948, in Jamestown, a son of the late Fred and Lois Fairbanks Swanson. He was a Vietnam War veteran of the US Marine Corps serving from 1966-68. He was employed by Jamestown Public School District as a custodian, retiring as head custodian at Washington Middle School. He was a member of Vietnam Veterans of America and National Rifle Association. Surviving are his wife Pauline Abers Swanson, whom he married November 16, 1968; two daughters Tammy (Delbert) Felt of Falconer and Tanya (Tina) Swanson-Swauger of Lakewood; five grandchildren Delbert Felt III, Tyler Felt, Destiny Felt, Gannon Swanson-Nardoni and Courtney Bartley; a great granddaughter Emma Sweeney and three siblings Shari (Dana) Douglas, Stuart Swanson and Robin (Belinda) Swanson all of Jamestown. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by an infant sister Sandy Swanson and a sister-in-law Sandy Swanson. The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Kennedy. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
