Obituary of Treva Marie VanGuilder

Treva Marie VanGuilder, 49, of 108 Fairview Ave. Jamestown, passed away unexpectedly Thursday June 30, 2016 in WCA Hospital. She was born January 29, 1967 in Jamestown the daughter of Robert and Sharon Swanson Asel. Treva attended Jamestown Public schools and had been employed at the Hampton Inn in Jamestown, Truck Lite, and Bush Industries. She enjoyed gardening and decorating for the holidays, with Halloween being her favorite holiday. Treva was very family oriented and loved going to the park or the beach for family picnics, especially with her grandchildren. Surviving are her father of Jamestown; three sons, Timothy (Jessica) Stappenbeck of Frewsburg; Andrew VanGuilder and Chad (Victoria Torres) VanGuilder both of Jamestown; five grandchildren, Charlee, Ayden, Odin, Mason VanGuilder all of Jamestown; Paisley Stappenbeck of Frewsburg; two brothers, Shawn Ross of Wisconsin; and Josh Asel of Jamestown; and her sister in law, Shelly Swan. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sharon Ross; her husband Charles S. "Chuck" VanGuilder whom she married February 10, 2001 and who died August 26, 2015; a granddaughter, Addison Renee Stappenbeck; and her grandparents, Cleo and Harold Swanson and Ralph and Beatrice Asel. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service Thursday in the funeral home and following the service at Lawson Park, Town of Busti beginning at 2 p.m.
