Obituary of Dolores M. Onuffer
Dolores M. Onuffer, 79, formerly of 604 Murray Ave. passed away on Sunday, July17, 2016, in the Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born January 20, 1937 in Bradford, PA, a daughter of the late Robert S. and Mary Angela Curcio Manning.
She was a graduate of St. Bernard Catholic School in Bradford, PA.
Because of her love of people, Dolores worked as a cashier for several local places in Jamestown including the former Loblaw's Store, Brigiotta's Farmland and the Post Journal.
She was a communicant of Holy Apostles Parish and was active with the Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic School, where she was a cook in the cafeteria for many years and was also active in the Mother's Club.
Surviving is a daughter, Dianne M. (Randy) Woleen of Jamestown, two sons, David M. (Dawn) Onuffer of Crestview, FL, Mark S. (Patti Riggins) Onuffer of Summerfield, NC, eight grandchildren, Zachary (Olivia) Woleen of Morgantown, WV, Jordan (Betsy) Woleen of Lakewood, NY, Alex (Amanda Holmes) Woleen of Bemus Point, NY, Ryan (Tracey) Onuffer of Cheektowaga, NY, Linnea Onuffer of Jamestown, Brooklyn Onuffer, Lindsay Onuffer, and Allan Henry all of Crestview, FL, five great grandchildren, Jayce Neal, Grace Woleen, Jade Henry, Riley Onuffer and a new great grandchild due in August, five sisters, Anne (Vay) Reed, Mary K.Groves both of Bradford, PA, Roberta Manning of Binghamton, NY, Linda (James) Gottuso of Ellwood City, PA, Toni Anne (Larry) Stoltz of Huntersville, NC, four brothers, William (Joyce Schaming) Manning of Warren, PA, Jimmy A. Manning of Bradford, PA, Rev. Bob Manning of Stoneboro, PA, Michael A. (Mary) Manning of Butler, PA, a sister-in-law Nancy Manning of Bradford, PA, as well as many nieces and nephews and many great nieces and great nephews
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert J. Onuffer whom she married September 22, 1956 and who died January 10, 2009, a sister, Toni Anne Marie Manning, a brother, Joseph Manning, a brother-in-law, John Groves and a sister-in-law, Sandy Manning.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be concelebrated at 1:00 p.m. Friday in Holy Apostles Parish at St. John Catholic Church. Her brother, Rev. Bob Manning, pastor of St. Columbkille Catholic Parish, Stoneboro, PA and Rev. Dennis W. Mende, pastor of Holy Apostles Parish will be celebrants. Inurnment will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery at a later date.
Friends will be received immediately following the mass during a luncheon at St. John Church.
