Obituary of E. LeNore Wigren

E. LeNore Wigren, 91, of the Bellview Road, Bemus Point died Monday, August 1, 2016 at Heritage Green Rehab & Skilled Nursing. A lifelong area resident, she was born in Jamestown October 11, 1924, the daughter of the late Helge J. and Mildred Johnson Hallberg, and was a 1942 graduate of Jamestown High School. In earlier years, she had been employed by Murphy's and Jamestown Worsted Mills and in later years, as a bus driver for Bemus Point Central School. LeNore enjoyed knitting. Surviving are four daughters: Lynn W. (John) Cresanti of Bemus Point, and Becky A. (Mike) Darroch, Wendy L. Samuelson and Christine R. Wigren of Jamestown; three grandchildren: John C. (Candace) Cresanti, Jr., Jason B. (Michelle) Cresanti and Kayla C. Samuelson; six great-grandchildren: Benjamin, Sage and Nathan Cresanti, and Marshall, Maddy Rose and Marlana Cresanti; and a brother, Richard W. Hallberg of Lakewood. LeNore was preceded in death by her husband, George "Dick" Wigren, whom she married October 21, 1947 and who died December 31, 1999. The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Lee O'Brien will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
