Obituary of Charles O. Swanson

Charles O. Swanson, 94 of 184 Aldren Ave Jamestown, passed away Wednesday August 3, 2016 in the Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center. He was born January 27, 1922 in Jamestown. Charles was a US Army Veteran serving in WWII. He graduated from the University of Michigan earning his Masters Degree. Charles was associated with his family business, Herald Furniture in Falconer and retired from Fancher Furniture. He was a member of Rotary, Lakewood Rod and Gun Club, Thule, and the Vikings. Surviving is his wife of 70 years, Sally Swanson; a sister, Mary Agnes Carlson of Jupiter, FL; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Elinor Swanson; and a sister Louise Finlayson. There will be no funeral service or visitation observed. Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
