Obituary of Goldie D. Peterson

Goldie D. Peterson, 105, formerly of 80 McDaniel Avenue and Tanglewood Manor, died Friday August 5, 2016, in the Lutheran Retirement Home. A Jamestown resident all of her life, she was born June 26, 1911, the daughter of Amandus and Esther Swanson Peterson. She was a 1929 graduate of Jamestown High School. Prior to her retirement she was employed by Par-Ket Motor Sales Company, Incorporated as a bookkeeper. She later worked for Southwestern Agency, Incorporated. She was confirmed at First Lutheran Church and as an adult became a member of Bethel Lutheran Church. her other memberships include AARP and Thule Lodge. Surviving are cousins Christine (Samuel) Prinzi and Kermit Swanson both of Jamestown and special friends Juley Carlson and Nancy Honess both of Jamestown. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Lind Funeral Home. Rev. Alan W. Anderson will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service Monday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Bethel Lutheran Church, 904 W.
