Obituary of Matthew E. Olson

Matthew E. Olson, 34, of Jamestown, formerly of Celoron, lost his battle with drug addiction Tuesday August 9, 2016. He was born May 3, 1982 in Jamestown. Matthew is survived by his mother, Sallie A. Olson of Celoron; his brother, Jeffrey A. Carlson (Crystal Ingerson) of Jamestown; his nephew, Jaxson Carlson; his longtime companion, Teara Watson and her daughter Haylee Snyder whom he loved as his own; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. Matthew worked at Nelson's Café; Lakewood Rod and Gun Club; and for several years at Nephi Electric. His mother would like to thank Bruce, Gail, and Brandon Smith of Nephi Electric for teaching him his trade and trying so very hard to help him beat his addiction. He was beloved. The funeral service will be held at 12 noon Sunday in the Lind Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service Sunday in the funeral home.
