Obituary of Donald A. Lynn

Donald A. Lynn, 87, of Jamestown, passed away Friday August 12, 2016 in Hope Hospice House, Cape Coral, FL. He was born June 16, 1929 in Blockville, NY the son of the late Allen and Bertha Comstock Lynn. Prior to retirement, Don had been employed as an equipment operator for Chautauqua County. He also owned Lynn Tree Service and was well known in the area as an expert landscaper. He was a member of First Covenant Church and attended St. Luke's Episcopal Church. He was known for his quick wit and his smile. Don was also an avid New York Yankee fan through all their ups and downs. Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Katherine Carlson Lynn; three daughters: Kathy (Steve) Lindstrom, Deborah O'Reilly, Lori (Kevin) Stafford; eight grandchildren: Elizabeth Catalano, Mark Lindstrom, Matthew Lindstrom, Ryan O'Reilly, Meghan O'Reilly, Shannon O'Reilly, Joshua Stafford, Nicole Muniz; and nine great grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Donald A. Lynn Jr.; and a sister, Dorothy Horn. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday August 19, 2016 in St. Luke's Episcopal Church. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
