Obituary of Donna L. Seekings

Donna L. Seekings, 66, of 9379 Hazen Rd. Sherman, NY, passed away unexpectedly at 3:04 a.m. Saturday, August 13, 2016, in the Westfield Memorial Hospital, Westfield, NY. A lifelong area resident, she was born October 21, 1949 in Jamestown, NY a daughter of the late Albert J. and Helen L. Bush Dean. She was currently employed as an assembler by the Resource Center where she has worked for 21 years. Donna was a faithful member of the New Beginnings Fellowship Church, Sherman, NY. She will be remembered as a loving and caring mother and grandmother who loved to spend time knitting, crocheting, sewing and doing puzzles. Surviving are her three children, Andrew (Robin) Seekings of Hartfield, NY, Helen (James) Comber, Sr. of Sherman, NY, Dannette (Phil) Kimmy of Green Township, PA, four grandchildren, Nichole MacDonald, Cassi Gibbons both of Jamestown, Emily Kimmy, Reily Kimmy both of Green Township, PA, three great grandchildren, Brayden MacDonald, Skylar MacDonald, Liam Gibbons, four sisters, Gloria (Neil) Card of Lakewood, NY, Linda Fraley of Panama, NY, Debbie Dean of Jamestown, Cathy Kuczynski of Sherman and a brother Ronald Dean of Jamestown. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Everett J. "Joe" Seekings whom she married November 5, 1985 and who died July 14, 2015, a daughter, Mary Seekings, a great grandson Tyler Gibbons and a brother Steve Dean. The funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Brett Scarem, pastor of New Beginnings Fellowship Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Mina Cemetery.
