Obituary of Bryan V. Emory

Bryan V. Emory, 61, of 21 Logan Ave., Jamestown, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2016 in his home. He was born April 12, 1955 in Corry, Pa., a son of the late Virgil and Dorothy Heslink Emory. Bryan had been self employed as a building contractor for over 40 years. He also competed locally in dirt track racing at Stateline and Eriez Speedways, having been track champion eight times and three time circuit champion. Bryan was a member of the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club, as well as the Lakewood American Legion. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Marotto Emory, whom he married November 30, 1980; sons, Bryon (Jessica) Emory and Timothy Emory; grandchildren, Megan and Courtney Emory; mother-in-law, Bea Marotto-Vitanza; a brother, Gary (Kathy) Emory; and several nephews and a niece. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Emory; and three granddaughters, Samantha, Ashley and Danielle Emory. The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Tim Phelps, Hospice Chaplain, will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
