Obituary of Jacklyn A. McIntyre

Jacklyn A. McIntyre, 85, of Lakewood, NY, passed away Wednesday August 31, 2016 in her home. She was born March 17, 1931 in Gowanda, NY the daughter of the late Maynard and Marjorie Wilber Thompson. Jacklyn was a graduate of Southwestern Central High School. She had been employed at Audmar Dress Shop, Jamesway Department Store, Lakewood Memorial Library, and as a Dental Assistant. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed reading, painting, golfing, and bowling. Her favorite and best hobby was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Jacklyn was a member of the Lakewood Women's Club and Garden Club. Surviving are two daughters, Michelle P. (Doug Hoisington) McIntyre of Busti and Judith A. (Tom) Swanson of Jamestown; two grandsons, Peter T. (Patricia) Swanson of Huntington, Long Island and Neil P. Swanson of Salt Lake City, Utah; a great grandson, Jack Peter Swanson of Huntington, LI; two sisters, Patricia (John) Sitton and Sally J. Thompson. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Jackson F. McIntyre whom she married April 3, 1954 and who died April 27, 2016. There will be no service or visitation. Inurnment will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery Columbarium. Memorials may be made to the Lakewood Memorial Library, 12 W.
