Obituary of Jimmy N. Marks Sr.

Jimmy N. Marks, 72, of 1331 Wellman Road, Ashville, died Friday September 2, 2016, in his home. He was born September 1, 1944, in Normantown, West Virginia, a son of the late Forest and Reta Smith Marks. He was a 1963 graduate of Jamestown High School. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Blackstone Enterprises as a tool and die machinist and earlier had worked for Jamestown Metal Corporation. He attended New Covenant Assembly. Surviving are his wife Patricia Rissel Marks, whom he married February 12, 1967; three children Shadeen (Johnny) Pate of Longview, TX, Jimmy Marks, Jr, of Ashville and Ladena Marks of Jamestown; a granddaughter Emma Pate of Longview, TX and two sisters Barbara (Jack) Garvey of Ashville and Bonnie (Ed) Derry of Jamestown. Besides he parents he was preceded in death by an infant sister Marlene marks and a brother Forest Marks. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in New Covenant Assembly Church. Rev. K.
