Obituary of Janet M. Warner
Janet M. Warner, 78, of 604 Big Tree Road, passed away Thursday September 8, 2016 in WCA Hospital.
She was born January 17, 1938 in Beaverdale, PA the daughter of the late Charles and Anna MacTavish Weaver.
For over 27 years, Janet worked at Clark Supply Co. Following retirement, she worked as a teacher's aide in the Southwestern School System. In earlier years, she worked at Blackstone Corp.
Janet was an active member of the Busti Federated Church. She was involved with the United Methodist Women's Group, served as a United Methodist Delegate for the SPR team of the church; and was a United Methodist Lay Speaker. She also did extensive volunteer work in the area for many organizations. Her children and grandchildren were most important to her.
Surviving are her daughter, Amy L. (Tom) Morrison of Frewsburg; seven grandchildren: Robert A. Lyon of Frewsburg; Allison M. (Bill) Futch of Winterhaven, FL; Bruce W. Barker, Elizabeth A. Barker, and Jeremy Morrison all of Jamestown; Molly J. (Franklin) Mathis of Haines City, FL; Michael (Jessica) Morrison of Celoron; six great grandchildren: Kate Futch and Victoria Futch both of Winterhaven, FL; Ethan Morrison and Gage Morrison both of Celoron; Isabelle Barker and Gracelynn Spitale both of Jamestown; two brothers: William Weaver and David Weaver both of Jamestown; a sister, Mary Lenna of Lakewood; and three nephews, Nathan (Linda) Cohen of Jamestown; Todd (Jennifer) Johnson of Philadelphia, PA; and Adam (Jodi) Johnson of Russell, PA.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert J. Warner whom she married October 7, 1961 and who died December 1, 2013; a daughter, Ann L. Barker; a grandson, Andrew M. Warner; and two sisters, Donna Johnson and Gloria John.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the Busti Federated Church. Pastor Lee O'Brien will officiate. Burial will be in the Wesleyan Cemetery in Sugar Grove.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the Lind Funeral Home and for one half hour prior to the service Monday in the church.
