Obituary of Barbara A. Stephan

Barbara A. Stephan, 77, formerly of Tanglewood Manor in Jamestown, died peacefully Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at Absolut Care of Westfield. She was born June 15, 1939 in Buffalo, NY, a daughter of the late Norman and Adelaide Schaefer Stephan, and was a graduate of Kensington High School. Barbara had been employed by the former E. J. Meyer Memorial Hospital (now ECMC) in Buffalo. Locally, she was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Barbara loved spending time with her family and her many friends at Tanglewood, where she was active in many activities. She is survived by a brother, Paul (Mary Ann) Stephan of Charlevoix, Mich. and a sister, Jeanne (Charles) Hudson of Summerfield, Fla. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, October 9, 2016 in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. John L. Kuhlmann will officiate. Visitation will not be observed. Inurnment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Lancaster, NY. Memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 380 E. Fairmount Ave., Lakewood, NY 14750.
