Phyllis I don't know what to say. I'm so sorry for your loss. Tom was such a dear friend. I've known him since 5th grade. He lived right across the street from me.From the start we hit it off working and and racing our bikes together. His 10 speed and my Lemon peeler. We raced our slot car's (and of coarse he had the fastest. No one could touch him) We did a lot of fishing together and a lot that was auto related. He was the God Father of two of my sons also. I am so glad we reconnected after losing contact for a few years. He was a kind and gentle man. I will so miss his wit and humour. My heart goes out to you Phyllis. May God Bless you.

Unbelievably heartbreaking. Tom was a good friend of 47 years, from our days in Troop 109 in the Boy Scouts, until now. My deepest sympathies to everyone who had the great fortune to count Tom among their friends and enjoy his infectious laugh. Brother, you are loved and sorely missed.

For those who knew Tom, he was very kind, full of life, and always spoke his mind. I can't tell you how many times that man made me laugh (even when I was having a tough day). I can remember every Saturday morning, he would burst through the studio door like Kramer from Seinfeld yelling, "Stevie Boy!!!!"
As he looks down on us from above I want him to know that we'll keep that motor running buddy! Sleep well.

The news of Tom's passing is a sad day for me and all of us who knew him. I always enjoyed Tom's enthusiasm for life and the passion he went at things. I know his health was always a concern, and he certainly fought some demons throughout his life, but Tom was a compassionate man who always wanted to help others. As I told him often, he was Mr. Automotive Talk Radio. Sincere condolences to all of Tom's family and friends on this loss. I hope he's at peace, and enjoying a ride in a fun convertible with the top down, somewhere nice. You were a one-of-a-kind Tom!

Tom was a good friend of my brother Robert and I when Tom was growing up in Willingboro, NJ. He was a great person with a heart of gold. He had a unique voice, I can remember one day when I was at his kitchen table, and Tom was pontificating on some topic, I said to him "Tom, you sure can talk, you should be a radio announcer or something" I fell of my chair about 3 years ago when I happened to hear him on the radio doing his America's car show. I called in and of course called him Toby, his back in the day name. We talked on the radio for a long time about old times .... my brother called in too. We were both so happy to reconnect with Tom ... He will be very much missed. May you rest in peace Tom, you were special. Gene
