Obituary of Virginia A. Dart

Virginia A. Dart, 102, of 110 Parkview Ave. Jamestown, passed away Monday October 10, 2016 in Lutheran Social Services. She was born September 24, 1914 in Brooklyn, NY the daughter of the late Frank and Myrtle Mae Skinner Gregg. For many years, she was employed by the State of Ohio. In retirement, Virginia volunteered at the United Way, WCA Hospital, and the Jamestown Audubon Society. She was a member of the Jamestown Seniors and the Green Thumb Garden Club. She is survived by a daughter, Ann (Thom) Griehm with whom she made her home; a granddaughter, Dawn Nelson of Seattle, WA; a niece, Laureen Lewis and a great nephew, Eugene Pate, both of Cleveland, OH. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William G. Dart whom she married May 20, 1946 and who died September 14, 1964; a brother, Paul Gregg; and a sister, Joyce Shireen Davis. At Virginia's request there will be no funeral service or visitation observed. Inurnment will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
