Obituary of Betty M. Holm

Betty Martin Holm, 87, formerly of Brookdale, Lakewood, went home to be with the Lord Sunday November 6, 2016, in Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing. She was born June 27, 1929, in Buffalo, NY, a daughter of the late Clinton and Florence Murphy Bentley. Prior to her retirement, she was employed for many years by Super Duper in the bakery. She was a member of Fluvanna Community Church and earlier had belonged to Hillcrest Baptist Church. Betty was always there to care for her family. She enjoyed gardening, baking cakes, puzzles and animals especially cats and birds. She is survived by her children Randy (Dennis Button) Martin, Ken (Kim) Martin and Shari (Merle) Spinler all of Jamestown; twelve grandchildren Tracy Lang, TeriAnne Werner, Tanya Wiles, Jennifer Haskins, Adam Martin, Matt Martin, Terry Garvin, Mike Garvin, Mirissa Delahoy, Ryan Spinler, Skyler Tritapoe and Jennifer Phiansouri; twenty seven great grandchildren; thirteen great-great grandchildren; step children Don (Lori) Holm and Sally (Dan) Dale both of Jamestown; six step grandchildren; fifteen step great grandchildren; two step great-great grandchildren and a daughter-in-law Rhonda Martin of Virginia. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Carl Martin, her second husband Bertil Holm; a son Terry Martin; a daughter Vicky Marsh; brothers Lavern, Virgil and Grant Bentley and a sister Shirley Peterson. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home. Rev. Dayle F. Keefer will officiate. Burial will be in Randolph Cemetery. Friends will be received from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday and for one hour prior to the service Wednesday in the funeral home.
