Obituary of John M. Simon

John M. Simon, 73, of 47 Falconer Street died Thursday, November 10, 2016 in Heritage Green Rehab & Skilled Nursing. He was born in Jamestown on December 24, 1942, a son of the late John and Concetta Giambra Simon. John was a graduate of Jamestown High School and had been employed at Chautauqua Hardware for over 40 years and was the plant manager of the Screw Machine Division. He enjoyed watching sports on television especially Cleveland Browns games. Surviving are his children, Michael Simon of Mayville, Rick (Tina) Simon of Dewittville, Chris Simon of Jamestown and Nick (Ashley) Simon of Kennedy; grandchildren, Tyler, Rick II, Ryan, Bryce, Brianna, Mason and Skyler Simon; a brother, Dan Simon of Arizona and a sister, Rosanne McDermott, Maryland. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday in the Lind Funeral Home. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service Sunday in the funeral home.
