Obituary of Loretta J. Moretti

Loretta J. Moretti, 86, of 6363 Transit Road, Amherst, died Sunday November 6, 2016, in Buffalo General Hospital. A native of Jamestown, she was born September 30, 1930, a daughter of the late Anthony and Josephine Trippi. She received a master's degree in education from Fredonia State University. Prior to her retirement she was employed by Jamestown Public Schools as a teacher, mostly at C.C. Ring Elementary School. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Surviving are five children Anita (Michael) Hanretty of Williamsville, Joanne (Robert) Linehan of Fairport, NY, Alfred (Suzanne) Moretti of Jamestown, Matthew (Kathleen Casey) Moretti of Wellsville and Mary Landor of Latham, NY; twelve grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two sisters Francis Parinella of Jamestown and Josephine Metzger of Arizona and a sister-in-law Constance Storms of Jamestown. Besides she was preceded in death by her husband Matthew Moretti who died March 19, 2002; a brother Salvatore Trippi and two sisters Christine Conti and Grace Spitzer Smith. A memorial mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lakewood. Rev. Piotr Zaczynski will be celebrant. Inurnment will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
