Obituary of Jerome A. Lundgren

Jerome A. "Jerry" Lundgren, 89, of 101 Lovall Avenue passed away Friday November 11, 2016, in Heritage Park Rehab and Skilled Nursing. A Jamestown native, he was born July 1, 1927, a son of the late Carl and Edna Carlson Lundgren. He was a 1946 graduate of Jamestown High School and later served in the US Navy. Prior to his retirement in 1984, he was employed by the City of Jamestown in the city treasurer's office. He was a member of Vikings Lodge, Thule Lodge, Lakewood Rod and Gun Club, Herman Kent Post 777 American Legion and the Free and Accepted Masons. His interests include crytoquip puzzles, reading, walking at the mall and going to have coffee with the guys. Surviving are two nieces Julie (Paul) Elliott of Nampa, ID and Joan (Dave) Hinderer of Panama and a great niece Megan Hinderer of Panama. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Don Lundgren in 1981 and a sister Nancy A. Larson in 1988. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home. Rev. Alan W. Anderson will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Bethel Lutheran Church, 904 W.
