Obituary of John Parsons

John A. Parsons, 68, of 208 Prospect Street, died Friday November 25, 2016, in his home. A native of Jamestown, he was born February 28, 1948, a son of the late Frank and Mildred Kinney Parsons, Sr. He was a veteran of the US Navy. He was employed by Buffalo Courier Express as a district manager and earlier had worked for Automatic Voting Machine. Surviving are children Connie Parsons of Fort Madison, IA, Dave Tracy of Lakewood, Danny Parsons of North Carolina, Debbie Tracy and Billy Tracy both of Jamestown and Robert Tracy of Manhattan, NY; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings Frank Parsons, Jr. of Gerry, Sally Machemer of Pulaski, PA, Nancy Haberbush of Jamestown and Joyce Gilbert of Irmo, SC and a special friend Nancy Goulding of Canada. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by siblings George Parsons, Gladys Kelly and Mary Greenman. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Lind Funeral Home. Inurnment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Kennedy. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service Tuesday in the funeral home.
