Obituary of Daniel N. Hill

Daniel N. Hill, 70, of 1341 Newland Avenue, died Tuesday December 6, 2016, in UPMC Chautauqua WCA. A native of Sioux City, IA, he was born September 29, 1946, a son of the late Floyd and Irene Rogge Hill. He received an associate's degree from Jamestown Community College and a bachelor's degree in business administration from Fredonia State University. Prior to his retirement he served as a constable for the City of Jamestown. He earlier had worked as an insurance agent and for Public Loan. He was a member of First Lutheran Church where he had served on the church council and Carroll Lodge #1147 Free and Accepted Mason where he was a past master. Surviving are his wife the former Marie Ball, whom he married May 17, 1967; two children Kelly Hill of Jamestown and Daniel (Joan) Hill of Busti and three grandchildren Derek and Taylor Hill, both of Busti and Robert Henke of Jamestown. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by stepfather Buell Kelly and a sister Mary Richards. The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. Rev. Daniel K. Nagel will officiate. Friends will be received from3-6 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. A Masonic Lodge Funeral Rite will be conducted at 5:45 p.m. Friday.
