Obituary of Monica A. Slavin
Monica Ann Slavin, 57, of 16 Cedar Ave. Jamestown, passed away unexpectedly Sunday December 4, 2016 in her home.
She was born September 21, 1959 in Pontiac, MI the daughter of Frederick and Maureen McCarthy Slavin.
Monica was a veteran of the US Air Force. Following her discharge, she moved to Jamestown and worked at the former Hills Department Store. She attended Jamestown Community College and received her Associates in Applied Science in Individual Studies, class of 2007. Monica was a disabled veteran. She enjoyed Bingo, the beach, and going on the Summer Wind.
Surviving are her parents of Aurora, CO; two sons, Christopher Lobe of Falconer, NY; Justin Lobe of Little Valley, NY; a granddaughter, Makensie Lobe Tompsett of Macon, GA; a great granddaughter, Zoey Tompsett of Macon, GA; and two brothers, Kevin and Paul Slavin both of Aurora, CO.
The funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Dayle F. Keefer will officiate along with full military honors.
Burial will be in the Levant Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
