Obituary of Christie L. Jungquist

Christie L. Jungquist, 44, of Jamestown, passed away unexpectedly Sunday December 11, 2016 in her home. A lifelong area resident, she was born February 26, 1972 in Jamestown the daughter of Calvin E. and Charlotte Tanner Jungquist. Christie was a graduate of Phoenix University and had worked as an IT Computer Specialist as a private Government Contractor in the Middle East. The US Armed Forces bestowed some of the highest accommodations during her service to her country. Her work enabled her to travel around the world which she loved. She was a very giving and caring person, always putting others before herself. Christie loved the water. She was a Master Diver and competitive swimmer, training for the Olympics and competing in the Junior Olympics. Surviving are her parents of Jamestown; her daughter, Rose-Marie Jungquist, a freshman at Boston College; and two sisters, Michelle Jungquist of Gerry and Tara Jungquist of Jamestown. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Road, Jamestown, NY 14701.
