Obituary of Pauline C. Madeen

Pauline C. Madeen, 93, of The Frewsburg Rest Home, formerly of Camp Street, Jamestown, died Monday December 19, 2016, in UPMC Chautauqua WCA. A native of Anita, PA, she was born August 8, 1923, a daughter of the late James and Margaret Whitfield Cowan. She was employed by Jamestown School District as a cafeteria aide. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, former member of the Allen Park Women's Club and played in the Cable Hollow Thursday Golf League. She enjoyed cooking and baking. Surviving is a daughter Brenda (Mike) Dolph of Miamisburg, OH; grandchildren Matthew Dolph of Bellefontaine, OH and Erica (Daniel) Shaw of Marysville, OH; sister-in-law Mildred Cowan of Lakewood and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Madeen, whom she married June 13, 1954 and who died December 15, 2006; a son Bruce Madeen; two brothers and three sisters. The funeral will be held at noon Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home. Rev. James Read will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
