Obituary of Barbara A. Minsker

Barbara A. Minsker, 75, of 142 Marion St., Jamestown, passed away with family at her side on Monday, December 19, 2016 at Heritage Village Rehab & Skilled Nursing. She was the widow of Seymour E. Minsker whom she married in September of 1969 and who died in April of 1997. Barbara was born April 11, 1941 in Perry, NY, a daughter of the late Charles and Minnie Jo Clark Whitmore. She was one of eleven children. Surviving are five children: Nicole Arcadipane of Lakewood, NY, Burke Minsker of Holly Springs, NC, Denise Valles of Clayton, NC, and Zachary and Randall Rounds, both of Jamestown; and six grandchildren: Adam Arcadipane of California, Cole Arcadipane, US Navy stationed in Japan, Evan Arcadipane, US Navy presently Chicago, IL, Alexis Jordan of Arizona, Sara Rounds of Tennessee and James Rounds of Maine. Also surviving are three sisters: Judy Newbree of Jamestown, JoAnn Klingensmith of Lakewood and Betty Main of Busti; and two brothers, William Whitmore of Jamestown and Jack Whitmore of Florida. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Florence Hilton, Rose Gammino and Geneva Williams; and two brothers, Leon and Clyde Whitmore.
