Obituary of Richard J. Miller

Richard J. "Sneeze" Miller Sr., 85, formerly of 360 Baker Street Jamestown, passed away Wednesday December 21, 2016 in the Heritage Village Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility, Gerry. He was born December 6, 1931 in Jamestown the son of the late Oscar and Genevieve Wenberg Miller. He was a graduate of Jamestown High School and the Milwaukee School of Engineering as an Electronic Technician. Richard was a US Navy veteran serving during the Korean War. Prior to retirement, he worked at Marlin Rockwell/SKF Corp. Richard was a member of the Flying Aces Model Airplane Club; Herman Kent Post 777 American Legion; and was an avid swimmer and enjoyed dancing. Surviving are two sons: Paul Miller and Richard (Courtney) Miller Jr., both of Jamestown. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Lindquist Miller whom he married February 6, 1960 and who died December 12, 2014; a daughter, Judy Ann Miller; and a half sister, Phyllis Brocklehurst. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. today (December 23, 2016) in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Dayle F. Keefer will officiate. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
