Obituary of Rose E Manfrey

Rose Manfrey, 97, formerly of 110 East Pearl Street, Falconer, New York, passed away Monday, January 2, 2017, at Lutheran Social Services. She was three days shy of her 98th birthday. Rose was born January 5, 1919 in Jamestown, New York, a daughter of Salvatore and Nina Muscarella. In addition to raising her family, Rose had been a head cashier at Super Duper and had worked as a book keeper at Matthews Tire and Tread and at Jamestown Auto Supply. She was a member of Our Lady of Loreto Parish where she was a Eucharistic minister. Rose volunteered at LSS in excess of fifteen years. Rose will be remembered as a woman committed to her family and to her faith. She was most proud of the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her sons, Dr. Frank Manfrey (Muriel) of Chester Springs, PA, and Dr. Samuel Manfrey (Marianne) of Harleysville, PA. She has four grandchildren, Mark Manfrey of San Francisco CA,, Olivia Rose Manfrey of Harleysville PA, Brett Manfrey of Philadelphia PA, and Jason Manfrey of Newtown Square PA, and four great grandchildren. Rose is survived by her brothers, Leo Muscarella and Lory Muscarella. Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Manfrey who died January 10, 1982, and her brothers, Michael Muscarella, Samuel Muscarella, and Dr. Joseph Muscarella. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:15 a.m. Thursday January 5, 2017 in Our Lady of Loreto Parish Falconer, NY. The Rev. Joseph Janaczek, pastor, will be celebrant. The family will receive friends from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
