Obituary of Helen R. Frye

Helen R. Frye, 82, of Clymer Center Road Panama, NY, passed away Saturday January 7, 2017 in UPMC Chautauqua WCA Hospital. She was born November 9, 1934 in Jersey City, New Jersey, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William F. Butler. While living in New Jersey, Helen worked for RCA. After moving to this area, she worked at Fancher Chair, Ethan Allen in Mayville, The Post Journal, and retired from Anderson Cleaners. Helen enjoyed horseback riding, tending to her flower gardens, and she loved to sew. Surviving are her husband of 62 years, James E. Frye; two daughters: Donna (Orie) Tubbs of Panama and Deborah Frye; five grandchildren: Coty, Greg, Heather, Jessie, and Jamie; and several great grandchildren, including Mackenzie and Madison. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed. Burial will be in the Panama Union Cemetery.
