I was shocked and saddened to see Norm's obituary in the paper. I relied on his help and advice for years at both Pearson's and Wegman's. He was always friendly and cheerful. He will be missed. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy.

My condolences to each of you.... The thing I remember most about Norm is he always had a smile for everyone! He was such a sincerely friendly and caring person. There are so many nice memories of him serving at church, from ushering to actually "serving" (with an apron on!) at Easter breakfasts and many other functions. My condolences to Ev (also such a kind person) and Kirby, Kristen, Jeff, and Candace/Jody. I haven't seen you in years, but have fond memories of all of us at HT and in Kirksingers with me or my sis. He will be missed, but he'll be watching over all of you from heaven and he'll be there to greet you with that loving smile someday! You will be in my thoughts and prayers today as you celebrate his life. ~ Julie

Evelyn, you havee my deepest sympathy. I know how very difficult this time is for you knowing how mom's grief was. How happy all his friends from Pearson must be to greet him. I am sure there is no korv, silta, herring to be made but maybe a wonderful coffee time with their best memories being shared. I know I will miss his smile! With love and comfort Cindy.

Evelyn and family,
We are so sorry for your loss. Norm was such a sweet man and every time we saw him, he always had a smile. He was such a good friend to Shawn and will be missed greatly at Wegmans. He definitely touched a lot of hearts there (both co-workers, their family members and customers!). Heaven gained a proud Swede angel on Sunday. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

Norm will always be remembered for his warm hospitality and great generosity, his bright smile, and love for people. He shared all of these so graciously as a man of deep faith. We, like so many others, will deeply miss him and will treasure the times we had with Norm and Evelyn talking, laughing, and sharing memories. Of course, we, too, loved his korvburgers and all the great food he prepared throughout the years. We pray that God's peace rest upon Evelyn and her family during this time of grief. Confident in the promise of the resurrection, we trust that Norm rests in the arms of our Lord, who has brought Norm from death into eternal life. Alleluia.

A wonderful man. I first met Norm when I was. Young teen, working after school at Pearsons. Later, he introduced Evelyn to my family. Evelyn, do you remember sitting on the living room floor helping me with math homework and telling me how important math would be in my nursing career. The wonderful Pearson Market pic is at 55 Loomis Bay. The "serious" work at the market?
Fast forward....we are reacquainted thru Scandinavia studies, summer festivals, and eating Korv burgers. And you left this life doing what you loved...serving people at Wegmans!
You will be missed as much as you were loved.

My deepest condolences for the family of Norm. He was like no other man I have met in my life. In the nearly 20 years I worked with Norm, I never saw him treat another person badly. He was always friendly, helpful, and pleasant to everyone. Norm's smile showed that he loved life everyday. I feel lucky to have known him and privileged to hear the many stories he would share about his life. He will be sadly missed.

Dear Ev and family, Our memories of Norm and his enthusiasm for life go back to the fun times we had as Pairs and Spares. He was always coming up with a new adventure. The many Easter breakfasts and other meals he prepared at HT were always special. He loved being a servant and he did it with such JOY.
Norm will leave a void that will be almost impossible to fill.
Our prayers are for God's comfort and peace for all of you.

Norm was an inspiration to us! We will never forget his zest for life and the way in which he continued to "live life" till the end.
