Obituary of Siegfried Kutschke

Siegfried Kutschke, 82, of 2874 Garfield Road, Jamestown, died Thursday Janary 19, 2017, in UPMC Chautauqua WCA. A native of Germany, he was born August 19, 1934, a son of the late Willy and Mathilde Maulischitzki Kutschke. Coming to the United States in 1951, he was employed by Jamestown Metal Products as a machinist for 39 years retiring in 1999. He was a communicant of Holy Apostles Parish, SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church. He was a former member of the Jamestown Moose Lodge. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, traveling and working as a beekeeper, but above all family always came first. Surviving are his wife Piroska Janus Kutschke, whom he married January 11, 1958; five children Marian (Andy) Hemingway of Japan, Richard Kutschke of Jamestown, Rosemary (Terry) Bahgat of Grand Island, NY, Christine (Scot) Carlson of Park City, UT and Andrew (Lynn) Kutschke of Jamestown; seven grandchildren Lauren and Erin Carlson, Brittnee Hemingway, Alexandra and Adam Bahgat, Joseph Mihaly and Grace Kutschke and four brothers Hubert Kutschke of Lakewood, Henry Kutschke of Sugar Grove, Baldur Kutschke of Kiantone and Edward Kutschke of Jamestown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday in SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Rev. Dennis W. Mende will be celebrant. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received from 4-6 p.m. Monday in the Lind Funeral Home where a Christian Wake Service will be held at 3:45 p.m. Monday.
