Obituary of Dorothy Watson

Dorothy Georgina Watson, 74, of Jamestown, died Friday January 20, 2017, in her home. She was born September 22, 1942, in Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia, Canada, a daughter of the late Michael and Martha Angela Young Kieley. A Jamestown resident for 55 years, she was employed most recently by The Chatterbox as a cook. She was a member of the Moose Lodge, Boy Scouts of America and the PTA. She enjoyed her grandchildren and the special adventures they shared. Her entire family would like to thank Hospice for a heartfelt journey. Surviving are two sons Robert M. Watson and Steven E. Watson both of Jamestown; grandchildren Chelsea Watson, Michael Watson and Mackenzie Watson all of Jamestown; a great grandson Riley Anderson of Jamestown; two sisters Lorraine Kieley of Quincy, MA and Pat King of Nova Scotia; brother in law Mitch Wilson of Cedarville, MA and life partner Luke Lewis with whom she made her home. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Watson, who died September 29, 1984; five sisters Cindy Wilson, Rose Donovan, Theresa Kinney, Joan Sheffield and Diana Todd and two brothers Michael and Gary Kieley. The funeral will be held at noon Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home. Rev. Dayle F. Keefer will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery. Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Chautauqua Hospice and Paliative Care, 20 W. Fairmount Avenue, Lakewood, NY 14750.
