Obituary of Justin Lee Romaniuk

Justin Lee Romaniuk, 19, of 30 Olive Ave. Lakewood, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 23, 2017, as a result of an automobile accident. He was born August 22, 1997 in Jamestown, NY, a son of Richard J. and Linda K. Ruby Romaniuk. Justin was a 2015 graduate of Southwestern Central School and was currently a student at the University of Buffalo. He attended Jamestown Community College and was awarded the Student of the Year award from Jamestown Community College in 2015. While at Southwestern he played soccer and was a member of the National Honor Society. He will be remembered for his love of playing video games. He was employed by Little Ceasars Pizza in Lakewood and had also worked at Chautauqua Institution during the summer months. Surviving are his parents, Richard and Linda Romaniuk of Lakewood, two sisters, Jordyn R. Romaniuk of Lakewood, Brandy Romaniuk of Texas, his maternal grandparents, Gerry and Dorothy Ruby of Lakewood, his aunt and uncle, Dave and Sharoyn Ruby, and cousin Carolyn Ruby all of Lakewood, as well as several other cousins and his girlfriend, Jeannie Kim. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jack and Therese Romaniuk and his uncle, John Romaniuk. The funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Dennis W. Mende, pastor of Holy Apostles Parish will officiate. Burial will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
