Bob's kindness, sense of humor, and friendship will be very, very missed. He shared so much of his time "fanning" my interest in birding, and nature in general....anything I would profess to know about either has its roots with Bob. Our thoughts and sympathies to Pat and his entire family...thank you for sharing him!

Dear Family,
Bob was just one of the nicest boys in our class of 1950.
Everyone just thought the world of him. He had a calm
along with his intelligence and warmth of greeting that
was just so soothing. The birds and those of us interested
in preservation must have (metaphorically speaking)
welcomed his protective and far-reaching interest. A
life well lived. Patty

We remember Bob both as our former JCC colleague as well as my biology lab professor. Even in later years we saw Bob and Pat in so many places and always enjoyed our conversations, especially since Bob was so knowledgeable about birds and so much more.
To Pat, we hope you are comforted by the memories or your long and happy life together.

My deepest sympathy to the family. The loss of such a giving, loving member of the family is hard and leaves a huge empty space here on earth, but fills a space in your hearts forever.

I have long enjoyed Bob's mentoring over the years. I took Conservation Biology from him and and always tried to get close enough to hear whenever he was talking about birds. So much to learn and he was generous in sharing what he knew. His contributions to Audubon and to the nature-loving community in general were great and will continue to bless us all as time goes on.

My sincere sympathy to all of Bob's family. I have many great memories growing up with Bob, Pat and their children both in the neighborhood and at FUMC. I especially have fond memories when in my early years he always had time to talk with kids about nature and answered any and all questions. He will truly ne missed.
