Obituary of Ann K. Dahlberg

Ann K. Dahlberg, 65, of Bemus Point, passed away, surrounded by her family, on Saturday February 18, 2017, at UPMC Hamot Medical Center in Erie, PA, following complications from recent heart surgery. She was born April 14, 1951 in Jamestown, the daughter of the late Robert W. Shephard Sr. and Mary Jo Bollman Shephard Darroch. Ann was a 1969 graduate of Maple Grove High School. For over 30 years, she was employed by the Bemus Point Central School District. Ann was a member of the Bemus Point Study Club, Bemus Point Historical Society, Lawson Center, Bemus Point "Big Girls", and past president of the Bemus Point Fire Department Auxiliary. She was a devout NY Yankee fan, and enjoyed traveling, boating, and going to the beach. She loved her dog, Cooper, and she enjoyed taking road trips in her bright red Mustang convertible. Surviving are her husband of 47 years Bryan P. Dahlberg whom she married February 14, 1970 in SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church; a daughter, Jody (Peter II) Conley of Lakewood; a son, Joel (Jillian) Dahlberg of Bemus Point; five grandchildren: Brynne, Peter III, and Anna Conley all of Lakewood; Tucker Fenton and Aiden Dahlberg both of Bemus Point; three brothers: Robert W. (Joan) Shephard Jr., James A. (Cheryl) Shephard, Patrick J. (Carol) Shephard; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Donald and Joanne Adams. Ann was a loving aunt to several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, her step father, Richard K. Darroch, and her sister-in-law, Arlene Dahlberg. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. this Thursday at Fluvanna Community Church. Burial will be in the Bemus Point Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home.
