Obituary of Arthur J. Berlund

Arthur J. Berlund, 85, of High Acres, Bemus Point, died Friday March 3, 2016, in his home. A Jamestown native, he was born November 26, 1931, a son of the late Arthur and Katherine Clark Berlund. Prior to his retirement he was employed by Proto Tool as a tool and die maker. He earlier had worked for Barnes Construction and following retirement for Johnson Roofing. He was a member of War Vets Recreation and former member of Ira Lou Spring Post #149 American Legion. Arthur enjoyed swimming, boating, fishing and camping. Surviving are two children Sue (Ron) Fiorella of High Acres and Arthur D. (Peggy Leave) Berlund of Jamestown; two grandchildren Jennifer (Jamie) DePasquale Bundy of Lakewood and Daniel J. (Heather) DePasquale of Jamestown and a sister Bette Hagstrom of New Jersey. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Helen Graves Berlund, whom he married July 17, 1954 and who died October 24, 1999; a brother Richard Berlund and a sister Linda Flood. The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bemus Point Cemetery. Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
