Obituary of Patricia A. Alexander

Patricia A. Alexander, 86, formerly of 107 Erie Street, Lakewood, passed away Sunday March 5, 2017 in St. Ann's Home, Rochester, NY. She was born August 15, 1930 in Buffalo, NY the daughter of the late Raymond and Frances Burke McWhorter. Patricia had worked at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lakewood and previously at Southwestern Central School as a cafeteria monitor, teacher's aide, and foster grandparent. She was a member of the Lakewood Rod and Gun Club, and was a communicant of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Through her long years of association with Southwestern area Little League, Cub Scouts, and Lakewood Elementary School, generations of area children will remember her as "Mrs. A". Surviving are three children: Dennis Alexander of Tallahassee, FL; Mark Alexander of Raleigh, NC; Sandra (John) Alexander-Tuttle of Rochester, NY; and two grandchildren: Dennis and Cassidy Lynn Alexander. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter E. Alexander whom she married April 5, 1952 and who died January 28, 1988; a son, David Alexander; four sisters: Mary Ellen Fitzgerald, Joan Sciandra, Elizabeth "Betty" Duffy, Rita McWhorter; and a brother: Raymond McWhorter. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The Rev. Piotr Zaczynski, pastor, will be celebrant. Burial will be in Bentley Cemetery. Visitation will not be observed.
