I just received word of his death. I was employed by Price, Miller & Flowers from 1978 until 1998. Mr. Price was, without a doubt, the most supportive person I ever worked for and one of the kindest human beings I ever knew. My ex-husband and I also sold firewood to the Prices and had the pleasure of meeting his wife as well. The loss of both of them is a loss to humanity!

Us Lassers will so miss Sam Sr. To say that he was my father Mile's best friend would be an understatement. Sam was part of the fabric of Jamestown, and my parents' lives. Friends for almost 87 years. Sam was truly the last of the Jamestown boys, the last of the Mohicans. We can only hope that Miles, Gloria, Petey, and Sam are up in heaven together, enjoying a cocktail at cocktail hour at Chautauqua, speaking of all the things they found common interest and enjoyment in, and raising a toast to their wonderful families. I will never forget Sam. With his passing, it is truly the end of an era.
