I am so very sorry Mr. Alm was such a nice man. I did not know him long but he would often stop when taking a walk around the neighborhood. He saw my small apple tree and told me if I wanted apples to come down to his house and pick till my heart was content. I told him I would but only if he would except a pie form them. He smiled and said yes. In fact my daughter-in-law is in town I tell her I made it. We had many more visits through the years and I always enjoyed them. I will miss him very much, and every time I look at either of our apple trees I will smile.

To all the Alm Family,
My deepest sympathy to you on the loss of your wonderful father, father-in-law and grandfather. Bob (and Lillian) were some of my parents' (Max and Marylou Haldeman) closest friends and I've known Bob all my life. Even after my parents were gone Bob would stop in my office in Bemus Point when he was in town and say hi and just catch up because that's the way he was - so caring and warm and friendly - always interested in his friends.
Bob was a true gentleman and he will be missed.

One of my best friends was Bob's daughter, Cheryl, and I always felt so welcomed by her family. Bob's smile seemed extra bright when he and Cheryl were together. He certainly lived a full life and I am sending hugs to Steve and Tommy.

Karen,
I was sorry to read that your father-in-law had passed away. It was so nice of you to come to Jamestown to take care of him!! I'm sure he enjoyed having you there so that he was able to remain at home.
It was nice to run into you now and then around town while you were here.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
God Bless,
Valerie Constantine Heggarty

I am sad to here of the passing of Bob. I lived across the street for the Eckroths on Hotchkiss for over 20years. Cheryl and I grew up together. I don't know how many times we skated on the lot next to Bobs house that he would freeze over every winter. Watching the movies that he made of all us kids playing. Showing them to us in the basement. He loved having us all around. I was lucky enough to spend a few Hours about 2 years ago with Bob when I was in town for the JHS 50 yr High School football reunion. My sister Sue Keppel and I truly enjoined that time talking about old times. I know that he will truly be missed. A big part of childhood.

I was terribly saddened to hear of the passing of Mr. Alm. I was his mailman for many years and he never failed to put a smile on my face when I stopped to chat. He was quick with a smile and a jab at my work-ethic....there was NO WAY I could keep pace with him. Mr. Alm was always active and was constantly speaking of his wonderful family. My sincerest condolences to all of you during this time.
