I go back 40 years when John would ride on Chautauqua Lake in a little floating car. He would pull up beside a boat and with a big GRIN ask can you tell me where Rt . 430 is.

John was a good friend and always had a kind word and friendly smile for me no matter how he felt at the time. Godspeed John, I know the angels brought you to the pearly gates of heaven. I will see you again someday my friend.

Dear Louise, Susan and Edward,
I was so very sorry to receive news about John's passing. My memories of him are mostly when he was a young boy and teenager on Beechview Avenue (although I was delighted some years ago to see him as chef at the Town Club.) He will always remain in my mind and heart as one of the warmest, kind and gentle people I have ever known. I know you all have very fond memories of John, and I hope they will give you much comfort in the difficult days ahead.
My love and my deepest sympathy to each of you,
Ann

We were sadden to hear this world has lost a good man way too young. He was an old friend to us from many years ago. Out thoughts and prayers are with John's family.

Ed and Sue, I was saddened to hear on John's passing. The world today needs more good guys, not fewer. He definitely was one of the good ones.

I knew John mainly from my college days back in the '60s and '70s but had always enjoyed it when we periodically ran into each other during the ensuing years. We lost a good man. Every contact that I had with him was pleasant and memorable. I can't say that about many people. My condolences to the family.

I am so saddened to learn of the passing of my friend John. 'Gregarious' was always the word that came to mind when thinking of John. Even during his illness, he was a strong and challenging personality. What a sense of humor. What a smile. Infectious.
I am so grateful that I was able to reunite and spend some time with my old friend. John's quest for the 'perfect' burger led us to some pretty awesome burger joints in the area. I was honored to be included as a guest at Patty and John's wedding.
My sincere condolences to you, Patty, Louise, Susan and Ed.
